What is Vsync in gaming?

Games try to find the best graphical settings for players based on their hardware when they first load into a game. While this process often results in players averaging smooth frames, most players will head to the options panel to see if there is anything else they can improve. Tinkering around in the settings and reducing some of the values can allow players to average higher frames, which can be important in competitive games.

All Aether Currents locations on Mare Lamentorum in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker

New maps have been added with Final Fantasy XIV’s latest expansion, Endwalker, which was released in early access a few days ago. Players are eager to venture into those new lands, but they’ll also want to unlock flying to travel faster in them. Like previous expansions, it’s not that simple, however: You must attune to 10 Aether Currents and complete five quests to unlock flying. Four out of the five side quests will be given in Mare Lamentorum’s main areas.

How to get Royal Lunatender minion in Final Fantasy XIV

Aliens have invaded Final Fantasy XIV with the latest expansion, Endwalker. The Lunatenders, those peculiar sticks that wander in Mare Lamentorum, are among them. Players who like these creatures can get them to accompany them through their adventures as minions. There are two Lunatender minions: the Prince and the Royal ones. While the Prince Lunatender is blue, the Royal one has golden skin. Both minions can be bought from the Market Board or traded and are random loot from activities, so they can be a hassle to get if you’re unlucky.

How to unlock agents in VALORANT

When you boot up VALORANT for the first time, you might notice your agent pool is a little small. Keeping the character pool small at first allows players to focus learning the core mechanics of the game, but sooner or later players will want to try out other agents to see if they like them better. Luckily, there’s a way to unlock other agents—just be prepared to grind a bit.

Gaming monitor vs. TV: Which is better for gaming?

With all the advancements in display technologies, it’s a legitimate question: should you game on a traditional gaming monitor, or a bigger, brighter TV? It’s a question that used to have a simple answer. If you were playing on a console, then gaming on a TV was really the only way to go. If you were playing on a PC, you’d never consider playing on anything but a gaming monitor. But now with the superfast pixel response times of OLED technology, gaming monitors supporting HDR 600, 1000 and higher standards, the superfast refresh rates of 240Hz, 300Hz and 360Hz, and new standards like HDMI 2.
