The year’s end is rapidly approaching and Riot Games is already planning some big things for League of Legends in 2022. For the upcoming preseason, the developers will be adding a plethora of new items to the in-game shop to inject more variance into many builds that are made in today’s meta. In September, League‘s director of gameplay production Jeremy “Brightmoon” Lee revealed that the team was looking to add some flavor to item paths by introducing two new mage items, two new tank items, and an item for assassin champions.

New maps have been added with Final Fantasy XIV’s latest expansion, Endwalker, which was released in early access a few days ago. Players are eager to venture into those new lands, but they’ll also want to unlock flying to travel faster in them. Like previous expansions, it’s not that simple, however: You must attune to 10 Aether Currents and complete five quests to unlock flying. VALORANT, Riot’s hit tactical shooter, is designed for the PC platform, and despite rumors of a possible mobile release in the near future, is intended to be played with a mouse and keyboard. But that being said, it’s still possible to play the game with a controller. Third-party software like JoyToKey (free) and reWASD ($7) will allow you to remap your controller for VALORANT.  The process is long and arduous with JoyToKey and will require some fiddling to get right.

Over the last month, leaks of a potential Game Boy and Game Boy Advance (GBA) emulator on the Nintendo Switchhave been stacking up, with some dataminers even getting versions of it to work on their personal systems.  This is something many fans speculated would be Nintendo’s next addition to the Switch Online (NSO) subscription service after launching the Expansion Pack tier that includes DLC for select games, along with Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games.

NPCs have become a core part of Fortnite. Not only do they supply players with exclusive loot, but some of them can also even be hired to follow you around and help you against other players. Lt. John Llama is one of the Chapter Three, season one exclusive skins, and he’s also an NPC in the game. Players can unlock Lt. John Llama as a playable skin through the battle pass, requiring them to complete weekly and daily challenges.

Rocket League Sideswipe has seen an influx of players with the start of season three. Many are getting their hands on this relatively new mobile game, and even though some players have experience playing Rocket League with a controller, the two games do not exactly translate controls one-to-one. One mechanic that’s particularly different in both titles is the air roll. In Rocket League, the air roll is used to effectively maneuver the player’s car through the air to hit the ball in different ways and adjust for landing.

Diablo 2: Resurrected was released today on just about every system you can imagine. But while you can put the game on your TV with an Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch, your multiplayer options will be limited. The action RPG will have online multiplayer. If you’re hoping to play split-screen multiplayer with your friends at home, however, you won’t be able to. Diablo 2: Resurrected does not have split-screen multiplayer options.
