The 2021 League of Legends World Championship is about to unfold. This year, the 22-team event, hosted in the Laugardalshöll indoor sporting arena in Reykjavík, Iceland, begins on Oct. 5 with the play-in stage and concludes with the finals on Nov. 6. The team that comes out on top in the best-of-five grand final will earn the title of World Champion, millions of dollars in prize winnings, and a collection of commemorative skins made in their name.

Menace in Magic: The Gathering is an evasion ability that was introduced as a keyword in 2015 with the Magic Origins set. The mechanic was added as a way to replace the Intimidate ability, which was overpowered in some circumstances but useless in others, making it difficult to balance. Creatures with Menace “can’t be blocked except by two or more creatures,” according to MTG’s comprehensive rules. The ruling around this ability comes during the declaration of blockers.
